The Process

Thanks for following along with us and giving such great feedback thus far. We really want to share our hearts throughout this process with you all. As our first update, we have chosen a home-study agency and will be *finally* starting that process this weekend, thanks to everyone being so generous and giving to our go fund me page. We have all of our paperwork ready to go, and we are praying this goes quickly and smoothly, but no longer than 3 months. Once we are approved that's when the real fun waiting comes. While we have really been researching all of our options, at this point we believe choosing a consultant agency is what will be the best option for us. Once we register with them, it's a waiting and praying game until we are matched, then more waiting and praying, then court fees and medical bills and some more praying. THEN the baby God has for us will be the newest little Mueller.
It seems surreal that we are fortunate enough to grow through this process with each other, our family's future is so important to us and has always been a driving force in the decisions we make. We haven't had easy roads, and this is no different, so we know God has us in His hands. I already feel God is working in HUGE ways in our hearts and lives because of adoption. We have met people we would never have really known otherwise, people who are offering encouragement, advice, resources, and time. I have been able to spread awareness and a new light on adoption to my social circles. God is doing something really big in our lives, and we hope He continues to use us to share our calling. So many children need a chance, a home, a family to call their own, and we have more than enough to give but so much to gain. We still have so much to learn about all of this, and we may just be getting started but it has already changed our lives more than we could've ever thought.
Happy Adoption Awareness Month, everyone! I am hoping to work with some of my friends on getting some t-shirts to sell for adoption awareness. Even if you don't know anything about it, you know someone you can point them to, and as a bonus it helps us get closer and closer to our family! What do you think? Would you buy a shirt?
with grace,
Kal
